Great Wisconsin Cheese Festival was able to provide financial support to the Fox Valley Metro Police Department, allowing them to launch a Drone Program.
The DJI M30T Drone was purchased and delivered to the FVMPD in February and staff have started training to safely operate it in our communities.
This drone will give them the ability to fly for search and rescue operations looking for missing or endangered persons, as well as taking aerial photography for large criminal investigations or crash scenes. Additionally, they will be able to assist both our fire departments with the thermal imagining camera on fire scenes to locate missing persons or active fire hotspots.
